Corporation Bank opened
its e-Lobby at Kaveri Building,
Dharmasthala on Saturday
the 8th August 2015. The “e-Lobby” was inaugurated by Padma
Vibhushan Rajarshi Dr. D Veerendra Heggade in the presence of
Shri S R Bansal, Chairman & Managing Director, Corporation Bank. Shri D
Harshendra Kumar, Secretary, SDM Educational Institutions and Shri M B Ganesh,
Deputy General Manager & Zonal Head, Mangaluru Zone were present on the
occasion.
Inaugurating the
e-Lobby, Dr. Veerendra Heggade expressed his happiness for bringing e-Lobby to
a small rural town like Dharmasthala. He said that Corporation
Bank’s e-Lobby is user friendly and even rural people with limited
exposure to technology banking can use it with ease.
He also highlighted that
e-Lobbies have mitigated the risk of keeping and carrying cash, as people can
deposit cash even after close of banking hours. In his address, Shri S R
Bansal said that “Corporation Bank is known for its best services and best
products. The Bank offers unique & customer friendly products and
value-added services to the customers.
He said that Karnataka
is a highly potential state and the Bank will focus on opening more number of
branches and e-lobbies in the state and the next e-lobby will be opened in Sringeri. He
also said that the Bank is issuing MUDRA card to street hawkers and small
vendors to liberate them from the clutches of the money lenders. The MUDRA card
holders can avail loan in the morning and repay it at the end of the day
without any interest.
The e-Lobby takes care
of the multifarious needs of various
customers. It has
Self-Service Automation Kiosks which include
Cash Deposit Kiosk,
Cheque Deposit Kiosk, Self-Service Passbook
Printer and an
ATM. The kiosks are user-friendly and can be used
at ease by the
customers. The Bank has so far opened 143 e-
lobbies across the
country and has received excellent feedback
from the customers about
the utility of these self-service
terminals. Corporation
Bank has a wide network of over 9,986
centres across the
country, including 2318 branches, 2983 ATMs
and 4685 branchless
banking units. The Bank has 66 Designated
Branches
across the country handling Forex business. The Bank has
its Representative
Offices in Dubai & Hong Kong to cater to the
needs
of NRI clients.
