An exhibition of eco-friendly Ganesh idols has been organised by “Siddhi Vinayaka Arts” at Satyam Park Hall, Shreyas Colony, Opp St Pius College, Goregon East. The exhibition will be open between 10 AM and 9 PM till September 17, 2015.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Shiv Sena MP Gajanan Kirtikar in presence of former Mayor and MLA Sunil Prabhu, BMC standing Committee Chairman Shailesh Phanse, Senior journalist Raju Vernekar and Heena Khopkar, Director of Siddhi Vinayaka Arts on Tuesday. On the occasion Kirtikar said that it is essential that more and more people installed eco-friendly idols in their households so that an ecological balance could be maintained.He also reiterated that the Ganesh festival, the most important festival of Maharashtra would be celebrated with gusto and fervour not withstanding certain recent restrictions. We cannot forget that the festival was started by Lokmanya Tilak to unite people during British regime, he added.
The colourful Ganesh idols of myriad hues, shapes and sizes made of Shadu clay and attractive eco-friendly decoration material is available at reasonable rates at the exhibition.
