at Melange

Mumbai, 2015: The grand unveiling of Sahiba’s latest collection took place at Melange, a fashion event featuring indo-western and ethnic attire. The event at Palladium hotel, saw some of the most eminent faces from the fashion industry.  It was a dazzling spectacle to watch models like Jessi Randhawa, Dayana erappa, Gurleen Grewal, Manasi Moghe and many others walking the ramp, outfitted in Payal Singhal’s debut collection and Rajdeep Ranawant’s exquisitely designed collection for Sahiba.

The proceedings of the event began with the exclusive product preview of Sahiba’s festive collection, designer Payal Singhal’s debut collection for Sahiba & designer Rajdeep Ranawat’s collection for Sahiba, followed by a ravishing fashion show displaying a series of contemporary & elegant designs in Indian ethnic attire.

These three collections by Sahiba are very distinct from each other, for instance, the festive collection by Sahiba is designed in the trendiest straight kurta style & fit, this collection showcases the intricate embellishment of the zari work and vibrant prints; put together in rich georgette fabric enhances the look and feel of the attire. On the other hand, the Payal Singhal for Sahiba debut collection is a fun young vibrant collection of contemporary indian wear that can also be worn as separates. The collection is done in colourful geometric and floral patterns with accents of mirror work embroidery done in cutting edge modern silhouettes. It also has print on print kurta sets and colour blocked sets and you can mix and match the pieces within the sets. Also, Rajdeep Ranawat’s collection for Sahiba showcases his signature style with prints of floral motifs, cherry blossoms and peonies The color palette is muted in shades of mints, cobalt, golds, blush and ivory with hints of yellow, raspberry, grey and reds.
